I’m Mel, owner/lead makeup artist here at Top Knots + Gloss Artistry based out of London Ontario. If you’ve ever sent us an email or Instagram message I’m the one you’ve been talking to! I handle all of the administrative work behind the scenes and offer my personal makeup services with the main focus being on bridal, boudoir and special events.
I prefer slow Sundays over a busy Friday night, and I’m always up for a good hike while enjoying a hot cup of tea.
Whenever I’m not spending my morning with my bridal parties you can probably find me creating some sort of adventure with my little family — I’ll probably be rocking cowboy boots no matter what the adventure is.
In the beginning...
I began my freelancing career in 2017 after having worked with some of the worlds top brands in the beauty industry. My love for bridal and special events far exceeded my love for being a brand ambassador, however the experience with these brands has allowed me to grow and expand my skills in the best way possible! I’m confident in safe hygiene practices, trending application techniques, and identifying individual skin types to determine the use of appropriate products.
My services;
Since branching out on my own I’ve extended my services from makeup applications to one on one exclusive lessons that can be fully customized to each individual client. I’ve also acquired my certification in Barbicide, and Barbicide Covid – 19 for proper sanitation/disinfection practices and procedures consistent with the current highest industry standards.
