I’m Mel, owner/lead makeup artist here at Top Knots & Gloss Artistry based out of London Ontario. If you’ve ever sent us an email or Instagram message I’m the one you’ve been talking to!
I coordinate all of the administrative work behind the scenes and have been specializing in bridal and special event artistry for over a decade now.
When I’m not on location for a wedding you can usually find me in studio; completing bridal trials, individual applications, or personalized lessons completely curated to our clients individual needs.

Before creating Top Knots & Gloss Artistry I was working with some of the top brands in the beauty industry, with a background in skincare and education. My love for bridal and special events far exceeded my love for being a brand ambassador, however the experience with these brands has allowed me to grow and expand my skills in the best way possible! I’m confident in safe hygiene practices, trending application techniques, and identifying individual skin types to determine the use of appropriate products.
The Team
I’m so fortunate to be able to work with so many talented women on the team, especially our lead assisting artist Des who has been assisting me with large bridal parties since day one.
Both myself, and Des have invested so much time into staying up to date on what’s popular in the bridal space and are constantly perfecting our bridal application techniques to better serve our clients! We can assure you there’s no bridal party too large that we can’t handle with ease while working together.

Kayla is our exclusive full time senior artist, specializing in large bridal parties and short timelines. Kayla can rock out up to 10 applications on her own during bridal season like no one else!
When you have Kayla as your artist you’re getting a decade+ of experience alone in the wedding industry plus the added bonus of having an artist who’s been professionally trained with a Mac Pro background.

Chloe has been assisting Top Knots & Gloss since 2020, and brings such a warm, positive energy with her to every bridal booking she has!
Chloe specializes in enhancing your natural beauty; and has mastered the art of romantic, natural soft glam!
Additionally, she recently completed a certification course in Toronto where she was trained by celebrity makeup artist, Julia Dantas where she worked on models creating different makeup looks for different events!
